Iowa Winter To Do List

It's that time again....time for another Fun To Do List. We started this last summer to see how we liked it and the kids (and myself) have really enjoyed it! It's cut down on our "free" time boredom and monotony, giving us something new, fun, and adventurous to do most weekends and weekends. We've spent a lot of time as a family completing these lists and have made some wonderful memories in the process.

It was definitely a bit more difficult to come up with a list of things to do in the winter since pretty much everything has to be indoors thanks to the freezing cold and snowy weather Iowa experiences. The kids and I still managed to compiled a fun list that we're looking forward to experiencing in the coming weeks. Without further ado, our Iowa Winter To Do List:

• Sledding
• Build a snowman
• Bowling
• Rollerskating
• Science Center
• Skywalk
• St. Patty's Parade 
• Historical Museum
• Botanical Center
• Wildlife Refuge (MHM)
• See a play
• Art Center
• Honey Creek Resort
• Go to a movie
• Paint in the snow
• The State Capitol building
• Resting for summer 
• Railroad Museum (Boone)

My favorite on the list is by far the Rest for Summer, courtesy of Max who is NOT enjoying the coldness and not being able to play outside whenever he wants. We were able to cross off number one on our list (sledding) yesterday on New Year's Day. Matt took the kids to Waveland golf course for the first time to experience sledding down the big hills. Hopefully we'll all be able to go if it gets above zero degrees this winter!

With one already crossed off the list, we are ready for the adventures of the others on our list!
